It’s that special time of year again! Help us fill the Polack Food Bank’s shelves during our annual Community-Wide Food Drive & Food Sort! Listen for details about the drive at your synagogue’s Rosh Hashanah services and start gathering food and hygiene items starting Wednesday, October 3. Not a member of a synagogue? You can still participate! Find all the details here. Then, get ready for the grand finale! Our biggest volunteer event of the year—the Food Sort on October 13!
Why We Need You
For nearly 100 years, JFS has been a lifeline for our Puget Sound community, offering free, nutritious food with dignity and respect to those who need it. What started as a small emergency rations closet has grown into a fully staffed food bank in the heart of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of people like you, more than 2,000 people each year turn to the Polack Food Bank to fill their tables and feed their families.
How You Can Make a Difference
- GIVE: As the High Holidays approach, donate food and hygiene items to your synagogue’s drive or bring them to the Food Sort on October 13. Every item you contribute directly supports families in our community who need it most.
- VOLUNTEER: Roll up your sleeves and join us for the Food Sort on Sunday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at a warehouse space in North Kent. Registration is required, and we’ll provide the exact address once you sign up. This is your chance to connect with others and make a tangible difference in just a couple of hours!
