What a remarkable day! As we reflect on the high holidays and come out on the other side with renewed purpose and energy, our community has come together to accomplish something truly special. The spirit of tzedakah (giving) and tikkun olam (repairing the world) was on full display as we sorted, boxed, and organized 900 bags (and counting) of food and toiletries!
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and energy, and we want to send a special shout-out to Dean Polik and the ACME Food Sales team for their unwavering support. Thanks to their generosity, we had an amazing location for the food sort and critical off-site storage space for the Polack Food Bank throughout the year.
Food insecurity continues to affect many of our neighbors in the Puget Sound region: one in eight residents with children struggle to access enough food for their household. The Polack Food Bank experienced a record-breaking summer, serving nearly 2,000 households each month. Thanks to your help, we are not only providing food, but also offering hope and stability to those who need it most.
As we close out the 2024 Food Sort, let’s celebrate the power of community. This event was a true demonstration of what we can achieve when we come together. Your time, effort, and generosity are the reason we’re able to continue this important work, year after year. Together, we’ve fed hope, uplifted families, and made a difference!
Thank you again for being part of this unforgettable day! Check out our photo album and relive the memories!
