Our Refugee & Immigrant Services program supports newly arrived individuals and families from 23 countries throughout the world, including Afghanistan and Ukraine, and helps them make a successful transition to self-sufficiency in the United States.
You can help by purchasing and donating new winter coats – an expensive necessity that many do not already have when they arrive.
What should I donate?
New, warm, waterproof or water-resistant, winter coats. For kids, we need all sizes, infant to size 16. For adults, we need men’s and women’s extra small, small, and medium. Any color or pattern, but please, no camouflage.
Will you accept used items?
Unfortunately, no. For health and safety reasons and to respect the dignity of our clients, we can only accept new coats.
Where and when can I drop off my donation?
Please schedule a drop-off at either the JFS Capitol Hill Campus or the JFS Kent Campus by emailing volunteer@jfsseattle.org.
Donations will be accepted Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. – noon and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
Please contact Leslie Sugiura.
